Rado r5.5腕表荣获纽约2009年最佳产品设计大奖（Good Design Award ）。
将表壳与表带融为一体，是Rado一贯秉承的设计理念，这款由设计大师Jasper Morrison设计的r5.5腕表，表身四周围的圆弧变化，充分表现其代表性的极简设计。
r5.5命名由来是在表壳四个边，在直角上作修饰，以每个角为轴心画出一个半径(radius) 5.5mm的圆，呈现四边方中带圆的表款外壳。
Jasper Morrison非常注重细节部份，从表壳、日历视窗、计时码表的按钮四周围皆以圆弧表现。表带采由宽到窄的修饰线条来展现复古造型。镜面为平面蓝宝石水晶玻璃。
另值得提的是，计时码表的表盘一般放置三个计时盘，然而大师删除了1/10秒计时盘，因为他认为此计时盘鲜少人用到，借此展现其讲究商品要符合生活上的实用，减去多余的装饰，传达由繁入简、化简为零的中心理念。Rado r5.5零售价：$4740。

A total of over 500 Awards were given in 2009 by the New York jury, representing the works of thousands of designers and industry leaders producing the finest accomplishments in design and manufacturing from 35 nations. This year, the world's most visionary corporations were awarded including Rado Switzerland.

Integration of the forms has always been a preoccupation for Rado. This is perfectly implemented in this aesthetically model. A distinctive square silhouette with curved edges, of which the radius gave the collection its name.
The r5.5 collection was designed by British designer Jasper Morrison and its launch marks the third step of the very successful cooperation between Rado and the designer. His mindset of giving minimalist design a unique character corresponds with Rado's aesthetic appreciation of pure, innovative and iconic watches.
